MSS linear open frame solenoids, also referred to as box frame, C frame or D frame solenoids, are available in pull type and push type versions. They are highly efficient and cost effective in applications requiring short to moderate strokes.

This line of linear solenoids covers a variety of sizes with strokes of up to 25 mm (1.0 inch) and forces up to 107 N (24 lb).

The low friction coating on the actuator (plunger) and proper bearing material support very long-life applications with tens of millions of actuation cycles.

All data on solenoids in this section is based on using D.C. voltages. A.C. voltages may be first rectified using full wave bridge rectifiers and then be used with D.C. solenoids.
